CORONAVIRUS, YOUR HEALTH IS OUR PRIORITY AND
WHAT WE'RE DOING TO PROTECT YOU DURING
YOUR MYOTHERAPY AND FLOAT SESSION.
Cleanliness and hygiene have always been our top priority especially being in the health and wellness industry changing people’s lives every day. Now with the current situation and concerns around the Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is even more important and relevant to you.
Here's how we are taking extra precautions at the clinic:
AT RECEPTION / WAITING ROOM
AT RECEPTION / WAITING ROOM
- Hand sanitisers will be available in the clinic. We ask that every client who enters the waiting room to wash their hands with our sanitiser. This way the risk of anyone unknowingly transmitting virus particles to any surfaces like door handles, desk surfaces, magazines, pens etc is very substantially reduced. This means you can feel confident, despite the fact there may have been a number of clients in the clinic before you on any given day, there is little risk of virus contamination of any surfaces.
- Sanitisers are located at reception, in the bathroom, myotherapy/massage and floatation therapy rooms. Once you enter the clinic you must use the alcohol-based hand rub sanitisers available or wash your hands (20 seconds) with soap and running water in the bathroom before commencing your myotherapy, massage or floatation services.
- Any close contact shaking hands or hugs will be avoided at this time.
- High visibility signage to advise you to wash and sanitise your hands throughout the clinic and how to protect others for getting sick.
- We will continually disinfect and wipe down all surfaces after each client interaction even the use of cash handling as your hands need to be sanitised after contact, EFTPOS and HICAPS machine, as well as our keyboards, mouse and telephones at the clinic will be wiped.
- Increased frequency of daily cleaning of the treatment rooms, floatation rooms and bathroom.
- While waiting and sitting at reception and you cough and sneeze cover your mouth and nose with the elbow flexed or tissue then immediately dispose of tissue and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser or wash your hands.
- Below are guidelines for you to follow according to the World Health Organization.
MYOTHERAPY/MASSAGE SERVICES

As mentioned above we will also be implementing the use of : -
- Disposable face covers on the myotherapy/massage tables which will be introduced during this period to reduce the risk of coronavirus spreading. The breathable non-woven fabric also breaks down easily in the environment, which is an added plus.
- On top of our luxurious towel we will place a paper towel material that has been through a high-temperature treatment to guard against bacteria and it provides a disposable barrier between client and towel.
- Laundering of all towels changed after each client will be appropriately washed.
Be mindful that myotherapy/massage provides some social distancing while giving you the health benefits you need especially during this time.
FLOATATION THERAPY
- All our float tanks are sprayed, wiped and dried down between each client.
- All showers surfaces are wiped down after each client as well as the light/fan switches, chair, doorknobs and the floor with disinfectant.
- After each client we filter both our float tanks for 15-30 minutes.
- We have 350kg of Epsom salt ie magnesium sulphate within each tank which is enough to kill 99.9% of bacteria.
- We use bromine, chlorine / hydro peroxide as an additional sanitising agent when required.
- All floaters are required to have a shower before and after their float session and use the showers at the clinic.
- We recommend that you float naked without wearing your swimmers to reduce any spread.
- Floating is an activity that provides some social distancing while giving health benefits and immune-boosting. Letting go of stress and worry is an important part of that too.
