WHAT DOES HICAPS STAND FOR?
HICAPS stands for Health Industry Claims And Payments Service.
HOW DO I CLAIM?
You can now claim your Myotherapy consultation on site by using our HICAPS machine. All you have to do is swipe your health insurance card and within seconds your claim is processed.
DO I HAVE TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE CONSULTATION FEE?
You no longer have to pay the full fee of the consultation and wait for reimbursement. All you will need to pay at the time of consultation is the Gap (the difference between the full consultation fee and how much your health insurance covers).
FOR EXAMPLE:
Your bill is $35
Your claim benefit is $28
You only pay the $7 difference
ARE MY DETAILS CONFIDENTIAL?
All of the details contained by our practice and by your health insurance are secure and confidential. The HICAPS machine will only give your details to your specified health insurer.
WHAT IF MY CARD DOES NOT HAVE A MAGNETIC STRIP?
You may have an older health insurance card, in which case you can contact your provider and ask for a new one in order to use the HICAPS machine.
